2018 has been quite a year with all sorts of political drama and with a fourth quarter performance which might have rattled the resolve of a lot of investors.
While I am sure that some of our readers have already been inundated by "Market Outlooks for 2019", we take a much more humble approach and just only comment on the past year's market performance and we do not pretend to have any predictive forecasting powers with regards to what 2019 might bring. After all, an honest reading and understanding of the academic research underlying capital markets should enlighten everyone that trying to predict future performance is truly a fool's errand.
